“Pale straw in the glass with fine bubbles and aromas of green apple and lemon with hints of brioche, proving dough, soft spice and stone. The aromas transpose over to the crisp yet expansive palate, with notes of yellow fruits on the finish.”
Taste Description
Colour
Pale straw with a delicate golden hue, alive with a fine, persistent stream of bubbles.
Nose
Fresh citrus blossom, crisp green apple, and notes of brioche and roasted almond from extended maturation.
Palate
Refined and complex – lemon curd and stone fruit layered with subtle nutty undertones. A creamy texture balances vibrant acidity, finishing long, dry, and refreshing.
Vintage Conditions
The 2016 Barossa season delivered excellent conditions for sparkling fruit. A cool, dry winter with spring rains encouraged healthy budburst and balanced canopies. Warm summer days were tempered by cool nights, preserving natural acidity and freshness, while a mild, dry autumn ensured steady ripening.
Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from Rowland Flat and Church Road Vineyard were harvested in pristine condition, producing fruit of finesse, balance, and longevity.
