WineShowcase Magazine August 2023
“The wine is fresh but full-bodied with flavours of stone fruit, especially apricot, and wild honey marmalade on the palate. The balanced acidity gives it lift. It has remarkable length.”

Wine Orbit August 2023 – Sam Kim
“It’s attractively fruited and complex on the nose with ripe stone fruit, lemon zest, dried grass and savoury notes, followed by a nicely weighted palate delivering succulent fruit flavours with well supported acidity. At its best: now to 2026.”
Taste Description
Colour
Pale straw with hints of green.
Nose
Fresh citrus and white peach with delicate notes of vanilla and nougat from oak aging.
Palate
Crisp stone fruit and grapefruit layered with subtle creaminess. Bright acidity leads into a long, elegant finish with refined oak spice.
Vintage Conditions
The 2023 Barossa vintage was defined by cooler-than-average conditions that produced Chardonnay of freshness and elegance. Winter rainfall restored soil moisture, supporting even budburst, while a mild spring encouraged steady canopy growth and good fruit set.
Summer remained temperate with few extreme heat events, preserving natural acidity and allowing gradual flavour development. A long, mild autumn provided ideal ripening conditions, resulting in Chardonnay of vibrancy, balance, and refined structure — perfectly suited to subtle French oak maturation.
