Vintage Conditions
The 2022 Barossa vintage offered an excellent balance of ripeness and freshness for Zinfandel. Winter rains restored soil moisture, while a mild spring encouraged healthy budburst and steady canopy growth.
Warm, dry summer days were tempered by cool nights, allowing gradual flavour development without overripening. A long, even autumn ensured full maturity, delivering Zinfandel with vibrant crimson colour, ripe blackberry and cherry fruit, and the spice and structure enhanced by American oak maturation.
